Decorating Graves for Memorial Day - Court Mary Queen of Peace #2423 Omaha, NE

Each year for Memorial Day, Court Mary Queen of Peace members decorate the graves of over 70 Poor Clare Sisters buried at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha. Members add artificial flowers to the wooden crosses, made by member Mary Wulf’s husband, Russell. This year he made an additional 21 crosses so Mary Lou Collins added the flowers and we were able to decorate the graves of the School Sisters of St. Francis also. The sisters are buried in the same area of the cemetery so the decorated graves have caught the attention of the many visitors to the cemetery.
